Ultrasonic cavitation device is a surgical device using low frequency ultrasound energy to dissect or fragment tissues with low fiber content. It is basically an ultrasound probe (acoustic vibrator) combined with an aspirator device (suction). It is mainly used for tissues with high water content and low fiber content, like noncirrhotic liver and pancreas. It has advantages of less blood loss, improved visibility and less collateral tissue damage. FAQ'S What does it feel like? The treatment is non-invasive and painless. You may feel a warming sensation on the area being treated and a slight feeling of vibration in the fat layer. There is also a slight ringing in the ears caused by the ultrasound waves passing through your tissues. It is completely safe, normal and stops as soon as the cavitation head is removed. Are there any side effects? After cavitation, the triglycerides are removed naturally by the body. The only side effects may be that you feel a little thirsty as the body wants to flush these waste products from the body. So drink 2 litres of water a day for 5-7 days after treatment. You may have some redness around the treated area and mild bruising, both which are very normal, temporary and will subside. When will I see results? You may notice immediate visible inch loss after your treatment. The results continue as the body continues to get rid of fat over the next 5 days. We recommend a course of 6-8 treatments to get more dramatic results. It is important that your expectations are realistic. We are reluctant to give one off treatments as results (1-3cm loss) will not be as noticeable. Therefore, in the interest of client satisfaction, we recommend that you have 6-8 treatments. However, each person’s body will react differently and so we cannot guarantee what your results will be. In order for you to get the results you want, your treatment time is tailored to suit you. Your treatments will be either 45 min or 60 min, depending on your needs and concerns. A course of 6-8 is recommended for best results. Are the results permanent? Results will be permanent or long-lasting as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
